Structural design

Structural design is the link between architectural design, specialised design and work performance. This means that ideas and visions are put into practice and the best technical and economical solutions are aimed at.

In the course of time

Due to today‘s hectic pace of life and the rapid progresses in the fields of technology and economy, high performance and a lot of flexibility is expected from us. These expectations can be transferred to structures as well.

In general, the occupational image of a structural engineer is associated with work involving a lot of numbers, complicated calculations and computer programs for calculating supports and other construction parts.

However, this fundamental part, including verification and measurement of construction parts, becomes a less and less important part of the work of a structural engineer. Nowadays, constant co-ordination and structural design in collaboration with the architect and the ordering party becomes more and more important.

Already at the beginning of the design process, modern structural engineers as those of BAUR CONSULT co-ordinate the individual requirements, possibilities of extension, and changes of use with the ordering party, the architect and the specialised designer to ensure the necessary flexibility in the future.
